Unplug + Unwined with OneHope

OneHope‘s tagline is “Drink wine. Do Good. Wine Not” and folks…I am all about that life.

Every bottle of their wine goes to a different cause and I give a bottle of Brut to my clients in every closing gift. Well, one of their company ambassadors/CEOs reached out to ask if I had thought about getting on board.

“What would that entail?” I asked. Basically this means that for every 1/2 or full case ordered, you not only get to be a part of giving back to all of their bottle specific causes, you get to donate 10% to a cause of your choice. Naturally, I said “WINE NOT”! It’s hard to go wrong when you’re doing good, right?

So, fast forward a week and I get my normal Brut shipment in for upcoming closings, in addition to my welcome package from OneHope that held 6 of their bottles to try, in addition to some supplies for wine tastings.

I’ve also been wanting to host an unplug event with friends and family, where everyone could drop their phones at the door and have the opportunity to be fully present. In this wonderful technology era we are in, it has become too easy to miss out on big conversations or get as close with people.

So, in the wise words of the late Michael Jackson, “if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change”. Cue my idea to host an Unplug + Unwined event! Now, we can drop our phones at the door and enjoy good fellowship and good wine! Sounds pretty good, right?

I’m going to start with friends and family, then have one with clients, then have one for the neighborhood, etc…and see where this goes! So, who wants to come taste some wine and do some good?
