Taking Care of Business
“Hey, my life is real great, I feel I’m well on my way to my dreams coming true and I’m getting to do it with you” – Judah & The Lion
Just in case you missed it, Trevor and I recently announced that we are expecting Baby Boy #2 in May 2019!
I quickly realized this left some questions in the minds of my potential clients as I had one ask me the other day if I would be up for taking them on as a client because they’re looking to list their home in April and basically buy when this baby is due. I quickly responded with a “of course!” and here is why –
A) I would never say no. I would have figured out a way to take care of this family and any other family. When you’re a business owner, “maternity leave” also looks a little different.
B) Wheelhouse has officially grown into a team and now I have help so I can serve my clients even better! This has been something my team leader and coach have been pushing me to do for a while now as my business continued to grow.
C) If you know me, you likely know my new teammate and you will realize that you are in as good of hands with him as you are with me. Because it’s my husband, Trevor!
SURPRISE! Yep, you read that right! Trevor and I officially make up Team Wheelhouse. He is the ying to my yang and I can’t wait to see where we can take this business together. There is no one else I would rather have by my side to do so.
A little background – Trevor graduated Construction Management with a minor in Business and understands entrepreneurship like a boss. He’s great with numbers and understanding the construction side of the home building/renovation process. He is the OCD to my Wildflower and the numbers guy to my marketing side.
Just in case you were wondering…No, it wasn’t exactly in “the plan” to find out we were pregnant right in the middle of this transition, but we have come to trust that God’s plan is always better than ours. The more we think about it, the more we realize it was a blessing in disguise. Would he have ever left his previous job if he found out I was pregnant before hand? Probably not. Would I have been able to handle the busy Spring and Summer 2019 without him + with a new baby? I’m sure I would have figured it out…but, I’m sure glad I don’t have to anymore.
SO, bring it on everyone! Between the two of us, I ensure you, you will be well taken care of. And if you want to see a house the day the baby is born, we will phone a friend to open the door for you.
Cheers to 2019! I already can’t wait to see what you hold!
